No theatre can survive on the revenue from ticket sales
alone. Expenses are far beyond what the normal ticket-buyer
is willing or able to pay. Well, yes, there is that
exception: the big commercial houses who pack in thousands
paying a hundred dollars or thereabout for a ticket. But
that's not the kind of theatre the smaller organization are
interested in or involved with.
Our history shows that about
60 per cent of our expenses are offset by ticket sales --
and that's a better ratio than many theatres report. But the
economics of theatre being what they are, and with our venue
of only 49 seats, we must have the donations of individuals
and organization to survive. And we invite you to be a part
of our survive-and-grow program.
